The Canadian Grand Masters Fiddling Association (CGMFA) is a non-profit corporation run by volunteers that is dedicated to:

  • preserving the rich heritage of Canadian fiddling.
  • promoting Canadian traditional fiddling.

The Canadian Grand Masters Fiddling Competition (CGM) -

The CGM Championship is held every year at the end of August in Ottawa where approximately 30 of the best fiddlers from all across Canada compete for the title of Canadian Grand Master.

Other CGMFA Activities -

The CGMFA also holds the By-The-Canal Fiddle Camp in the summer, which is open to fiddlers of all ages and abilities; and publishes a quarterly newsletter called The Canadian Fiddler.
